Because It's Our Life

Beunos Tardes Bloggers and Happy Monday to you! So today must have been one of the most uneventful days in a long time, and yet my entire being is exhausted, perhaps it is just at the thought of the work awaiting me. Any of you lovelies out there still in high school? If you are, are you enduring the horridness of the AP world? Because I am facing its firey wrath. Mostly lab write ups await me, but I MUST keep up with my work (however much it pains me to endure it). But as to why I even brought this up, my AP English teacher assigned a rather... ambiguious assignment, to Read Write and Discuss every day. Well, since I do not spend my free time in the thrills of essay writing, I decide to satisfy the writing portion of the assignment through starting a blog. I am not particularly interesting, so this is an awkward decision; however, my life with the people I am friends with is a quite a thrill. We have encompassed the term "because it's our life." as our daily motto, and it has help blatantly true. I could enlighten you all of our previous adventures, but such would not be quite the same as when I tell the stories have just experienced them, blood pressure high and gasping for breath, ergo, my thrilling tales of the past shall remain a mystery, however, the moment something noteworthy occurs in my rambunctious life, you all shall be the first to become aware of these happenings.

So, with that my beautiful bloggers, I escape into the land of AP Chemistry and scientific equations. Adios!

Theatrical Ranting

So, may I first say that I am beyond exhausted. So many lovely people in so little time. Yesterday I ventured with a splendid friend of mine, Jenni, to see the school Production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Being the Drama Club president I was more than ecstatic to see my peers in action, and I must say it was sensation! They completely blew me away, never have I felt more proud to know those people! The lovely Elspeth portrayed Helena and was simply Devinne, I am bursting with pride for the amount of talent I got to wittiness upon the stage last night.

Let's take a moment shall we, for a tiny bit of a rant. The ignorance as to the... doings of Theater programs in high school. Now, correct me if I am being horribly inaccurate in my statements, but being so thoroughly involved in the theater program at my high school I constantly come across those who aren't even aware that we have such a program! I am appalled by this. Recently my lovely friend Sedona and I competed in the Regional Thespian Conference, (for those of you who aren't aware that is a theater competition, one may compete in pantomime, solo monologue, group musical, play write, set design etc.) I competed in solo musical, and she and I competed in duet musical. We received all Superior ratings (highest possible) and were chosen to sing both our duet and my solo in the showcase(meaning we got the highest score out of everyone for our categories) proceeding the competition. It was the most sensational and euphoric feeling to know our hard work had lead us to a fantastic win! We will be heading to State competition in March, so wish us luck! <3 Upon returning from such an excellent adventure, an announcement as to our win was made at school, however excited our peers were, they still had no idea what is was exactly that we had competed in and won. I couldn't believe it, something that was my world was so... obsolete to others. Perhaps I am being sensitive, but that dolls was my little rant.

So moving on to a much more fun topic, I am going to be a busy busy bee today! I woke up to a lovely good morning from my dearest Riekie. (Always the sign of a good day) Dragged myself away from my all to comfortable and wonderful bed, and fled to the gym. I came home and had a delicious breakfast and a wonderful talk with my father. I decided to sit down for a moment and type up this mostly pointless little blog, and now I shall get in the shower (because yes, like everyone else I look and smell like a Daisy upon leaving the gym ;]) Then off to my dear friend Audrey's house to work on a less than amusing history project. Then off to a place where my heart bursts with love for all who surround me... Glee rehearsals. Yes yes, just like the TV show glee. We get to learn wonderful songs, contemporary, Broadway, even a little rap! How blessed I am to be part of such a family! I believe that is all I had to say for now, perhaps if anything truly noteworthy occurs today I shall blog later, but as for now Ich Liebe Dich<3

A Beautiful Life

^Dearest Colton^
^Amazing Sedona^

^ Stunning Elspeth^

Welcome to today. I just read a blog I posted a very long time ago, and I can't do anything but appreciate it's... very appropriate maturity level for the age I must have been upon typing it. As I read it, it was hard not to over analyze the enormous difference between who I am now, and who I was, and the growth that transpired in over a year. I have learned that people are constantly coming and going from our lives, and regardless of how long they stay with us for, they bring important lessons, every single one of them. I am currently faced with life's undaunting reminder that things move curiously quickly, and in the blink of an eye, your lives are changed. So here I am, Kaitlyn, as of today: February 28, 2011. And who I become after this current date and time, then so let me be it, for I shall embrace the growth I have forever feared.

Today is a cold, wintry day, a snow day actually. But there are only two words that I can describe the flurries overhead with: Blustering and Blissful. I am not sure why these two words hold such close connotations with that of snow falling. But I appreciate the weather; however, I long desperately for the Summer. Today should be fun though, I am going to spend it with one of my truest and most wonderful friends (A person whom you all should grow very accustomed to hearing about) Colton. Now this friend of mine is incredibly beautiful, for he sees the world through the eyes of a photographer, such a skill I can only long for. So my time spent with him is constantly in marvel at how true and stunning the simple things in life are. However artistic and wonderful this all sounds, it should be noted that we are both still horrible annoying teenagers who will be spending a blissful evening indulging in the gory-est of horror films! (A genre of movie I have mostly been forced into liking, for I am quite the fraidy cat) I suppose now that you have met Colton, virtually anyway, I should introduce you to the rest of the cast that is the production of my life. As of today I will only show you those who are, metaphorically, the principle characters in this little drama. Elspeth, yes she is as unique as her name, is the most artistic person I know. She embodies the "hippie child" and laces her hands through every materialistic form of art there is, all while being a truly incredible and unique musician. Our minds are constantly one, as one look can tell and entire story between us, and all is understood with out words. Sedona, a purest heart if ever there were one. Sedona holds the epitome of honestly in her California self. She will always show weakness and strength, always voice her opinion(it's always nice.), and always want to be your friend. In addition to this she has the thickest, longest, most gorgeous, naturally highlighted blond hair I have ever seen, and for that I am truly envious. In addition to this she also embodies a musician. No, not a cliche musician, but the music is her all in life, musician. Riekie, pronounced like "Ricky" are you noticing a pattern in the uniqueness of my friends names? Their personalities are evenly matched. Riekie, is my love and my darling. If ever you wished to know something about him, simply look to me, for we essentially are each other. He and I are constantly bemused by the undeniable coincidences in our personalities. Riekie, like all the rest, is an artist, and a musician, and is constantly amazing me with his talents. To avoid sounding entirely... teenage lovey I will end my description of him right there. There are more than just these wonderful fantastic people, but rather than bore you with an explanation of every person in my life, I will leave it at those and tell you all that I purposefully am surrounded by some of the most talented, unique and artistic people in the world. And as time flies, and I blog my days, I will inform you of more talent and more stupendous people, for I am truly blessed to thrive my life with a bottomless amount of these people.

So I am off now, to put on a beautiful wedding dress and pretend to be the princess of light for my wonderful friend Colton's photoshoot and then the true fun may begin with endless amounts of popcorn and frightening movies! <3
