So, may I first say that I am beyond exhausted. So many lovely people in so little time. Yesterday I ventured with a splendid friend of mine, Jenni, to see the school Production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Being the Drama Club president I was more than ecstatic to see my peers in action, and I must say it was sensation! They completely blew me away, never have I felt more proud to know those people! The lovely Elspeth portrayed Helena and was simply Devinne, I am bursting with pride for the amount of talent I got to wittiness upon the stage last night.
Let's take a moment shall we, for a tiny bit of a rant. The ignorance as to the... doings of Theater programs in high school. Now, correct me if I am being horribly inaccurate in my statements, but being so thoroughly involved in the theater program at my high school I constantly come across those who aren't even aware that we have such a program! I am appalled by this. Recently my lovely friend Sedona and I competed in the Regional Thespian Conference, (for those of you who aren't aware that is a theater competition, one may compete in pantomime, solo monologue, group musical, play write, set design etc.) I competed in solo musical, and she and I competed in duet musical. We received all Superior ratings (highest possible) and were chosen to sing both our duet and my solo in the showcase(meaning we got the highest score out of everyone for our categories) proceeding the competition. It was the most sensational and euphoric feeling to know our hard work had lead us to a fantastic win! We will be heading to State competition in March, so wish us luck! <3 Upon returning from such an excellent adventure, an announcement as to our win was made at school, however excited our peers were, they still had no idea what is was exactly that we had competed in and won. I couldn't believe it, something that was my world was so... obsolete to others. Perhaps I am being sensitive, but that dolls was my little rant.
So moving on to a much more fun topic, I am going to be a busy busy bee today! I woke up to a lovely good morning from my dearest Riekie. (Always the sign of a good day) Dragged myself away from my all to comfortable and wonderful bed, and fled to the gym. I came home and had a delicious breakfast and a wonderful talk with my father. I decided to sit down for a moment and type up this mostly pointless little blog, and now I shall get in the shower (because yes, like everyone else I look and smell like a Daisy upon leaving the gym ;]) Then off to my dear friend Audrey's house to work on a less than amusing history project. Then off to a place where my heart bursts with love for all who surround me... Glee rehearsals. Yes yes, just like the TV show glee. We get to learn wonderful songs, contemporary, Broadway, even a little rap! How blessed I am to be part of such a family! I believe that is all I had to say for now, perhaps if anything truly noteworthy occurs today I shall blog later, but as for now Ich Liebe Dich<3
